BOLDsparks - Lifelong Learning Program
The BOLDsparks - Lifelong Learning Program is an exciting new program offered by the Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG).
The program aims to ignite a meaningful connection between mature adults living within the aged care community, and arts and culture. Participants are encouraged to harness their creative potential through hands-on art activities and thoughtful artistic discussion in a safe, accessible and quality cultural facility.
Uniting participants from the wider Ballina Community, BOLDsparks will consist of five unique two-hour workshops tailored to respond directly to the current exhibitions at the NRCG. Participants will engage in a dialogue of arts, culture and memory, and will have the opportunity to complete a hands-on art activity designed to engage higher order cognitive thinking, reinforce fine motor skills and to foster a committment to active social engagement, including a morning tea.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All mature adults living in an aged care facility within the Ballina Shire are eligibile to participate in the BOLDsparks - Lifelong Learning Program. The Gallery is an accessible facility and welcomes participants of varying physical, intellectual and sensory capacities. All participants must be accompanied by their Carers for the duration of the workshop.
HOW TO REGISTER?
Complete a Program Registration Form indicating the names of the registered participants and return directly to Lee Mathers, the Gallery Coordinator at least two (2) weeks prior to the workshop.
