COVID 19 Safety Plan - August 2020


Overview 

The Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG) has officially re-opened to the public from Wednesday 3rd June, 2020. 
NSW Government requires all Museums and Galleries in NSW to develop and enact a COVID-19 Safety Plan to ensure the safety of all workers, volunteers, patrons and customers. 

Businesses must follow the current COVID-19 Public Health Orders and also manage risks to staff and other people in accordance with Work Health and Safety laws. For more information and specific advice visit nsw.gov.au

 

This plan will be regularly updated as restrictions or advice changes.



 

General Safety and Protocols for Gallery Patrons  

NRCG in compliance with NSW Government and Ballina Shire Council have developed a strict COVID-19 Safetey Plan to ensure the saftey and wellbeing of all visitors to the Gallery. 

 

Safety measures in place include: 

  • mandatory sign-in registration and hand santisation at front door 
  • strict 1.5m social distancing measures
  • clear signage for numbers in each gallery space 
  • clear signage with guidelines for all patrons 
  • hand sanitser available at counters and front door
  • do not enter the Gallery if you have symptoms  

 

Safety Protocols for Staff and Volunteers 

NRCG in compliance with NSW Government and Ballina Shire Council have developed a strict COVID-19 Safety Plan to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and volunteers working at the Gallery. 

Safety measures in place include: 

  • mandatory sign-in registration and hand sanitisation at front counter 
  • clear signage with guidelines for all staff dispalyed at front counter and throughout Gallery
  • COVID-19 Safety Plan handbook at front counter 
  • gloves, santiser and cleaning equipment readily available 
  • 1.5m distancing in place for shop-front (including counter sales and seating) 
  • strict cleaning and sharing protocols for techical equipment 
  • clear communication regarding safety protocols and requirements between staff and volunteers prior to commencement of attending work shifts at the Gallery to be implemented
  • staff and volunteers with symptoms to not attend the Gallery 

 

Safety Protocols for Ignite Studios - Staff and Participants 

NRCG in compliance with NSW Government and Ballina Shire Council have developed a strict COVID-19 Safety Plan to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and volunteers working at the Gallery. 

Safety measures in place include: 

  • mandatory sign-in registration and hand sanitisation at front door
  • COVID-19 Safety Plan handbook at front door  
  • 1.5m social distancing in place for all workshops 
  • limits of 10 participants per group 
  • gloves, masks, santiser and cleaning equipment readily available 
  • strict protocols for sharing equipment 
  • clear communication regarding safety protocols and requirements between staff and faciltitators
  • faciltitators and participants with symptoms to not attend Ignite Studios
