[[Special Announcement]] Due to unforeseen financial impacts of Covid-19 Ballina Shire Council has reviewed and made some necessary budget reductions across the organisation. These budgetary reductions have impacted the Gallery's public program calendar and as a result this program has been postponed until later in the year. Bookings for this event will open closer to the date and be advertised through our social media and e-news. We sincerely apologies for any inconvenience and hope to have our regular program of activities re-scheduled in the near future.

Join local weavers Tania Marlowe and Deb Cole from Jugan Dandii who will teach hand weaving techniques for participants to learn twined basketry for bag styled baskets and fish trap forms with canes, reeds, sedges banana or heliconia fibres, flax and lomandra. Starting with creating a small wearable art piece and progressing to basketry, participants will learn about the natural fibres and how they can be prepared and used to create beautiful hand-woven objects.
Join our master weavers from Jugan Dandii for a weekend weaving circle in a relaxing group atmosphere.

Due to our class sizes, once you have booked and paid we will only provide a refund if the class is unable to go ahead. If there is a waiting list for your class and the Gallery can successfully offer your space to another student a refund for the workshop cost, less a booking fee of 5% will be provided when the replacement student has paid in full.
