The BOLDsparks - Lifelong Learning Program ignites a meaningful connection between mature adults living within the aged care community, and arts and culture. Through the BOLDsparks program participants from aged care services explore their creative potential through hands-on art activities and thoughtful artistic discussion in a safe, accessible cultural facility.

The program consists of unique two-hour workshops tailored to respond directly to the current exhibitions at the NRCG. Participants engage with the arts, culture and memory, higher-order cognitive thinking, reinforce fine motor skills and enjoy an opportunity for social interaction through the arts and a morning tea.

All mature adults living in an aged care facility within the Ballina Shire are eligible to participate in the BOLDsparks - Lifelong Learning Program. The Gallery is an accessible facility and welcomes participants of varying physical, intellectual and sensory capacities. All participants must be accompanied by their Carers for the duration of the workshop.

Complete a Program Registration Form indicating the names of the registered participants and return directly to Cara MacLeod, the Program Facilitator at least two (2) weeks prior to the workshop. Please indicate on the Program Registration Form which month and workshop you are registering to attend. Workshop materials and morning tea will only be provided for registered participants.

For aged care facilities who would like more information, please contact the Program Facilitator by phone on 02 6681 0533 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
