ART STATION - School Holiday Art Program

Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 January 2020

Choose your own adventure – with a range of creative Art Station activities over two days. Youth can explore a variety of contemporary creative styles including natural jewellery making, cardboard city sculpture, zines or join in on a public Art Safari walk exploring Ballina’s public artworks. Participants can choose to attend half or full day sessions.

Natural Jewellery :: make your own jewellery from natural objects and fibres and/or
Cardboard City  ::  create your own miniature city sculpture

Zine Making :: learn how to script and tell your story in a short zine (self-published magazine) and/or
Public Art Safari  ::  take this fun activity-based tour visiting a selection of Ballina's public art sculptures to learn about their story, artists and install your own temporary public art sculptures on location.

Facilitators: Imbi Davidson, Duke Albada, Stephanie Shoebridge, Karen Rantissi and Cara MacLeod.


Morning Sessions: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Afternoon Sessions: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Full Day: 10:00am – 3:00pm

$25 single 2 hr session (am or pm)
$45 1 full day pass
$80 2 full day pass

Bookings essential to secure a place.

Ages: All Ages (Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

Please choose your class carefully.

Due to our class sizes, once you have booked and paid we will only provide a refund if the class is unable to go ahead. If there is a waiting list for your class and the Gallery can successfully offer your space to another student a refund for the workshop cost, less a booking fee of 5% will be provided when the replacement student has paid in full.
