We offer full kiln firings for individual ceramicists in one of our two Woodrow Kilns.

How To Book
- Read the Terms & Conditions of our Kiln Firing service below. By booking a firing with Ignite Ceramics, you agree to these terms & conditions.

- Pay the Kiln Firing fee via an online payment link which we will send you by email once your dates are confirmed.
- Bring your wares to Ignite Studios at 60 Crane Street Ballina to stack the kiln on the agreed date, with the assistance of our Creative Programs Producer. We will then fire the kiln.
- Return to unload the kiln, on the agreed date.
- Enjoy your beautiful ceramics!
Rates
All prices inclusive of GST. These fees are subject to annual review by Ballina Shire Council, and may increase slightly year to year.

Terms and Conditions
By booking a firing with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- By booking a firing with Ignite Ceramics you agree to these terms and conditions.
- NRCG will take all care but no responsibility for misfiring, breakages or damage which may occur to your work at any point in your use of our facility, including when we are handling or firing your work.
- NRCG takes no responsibility for the quality of the results of the firing.
- NRCG takes no responsibility for the timing of the firing, or any delays that may occur for operational or other reasons. If you are working to a deadline, it is your responsibility to allow enough time for unplanned delays with our facility.
- Hirers are responsible for stacking and unstacking their works in the kiln, at a time to be arranged with NRCG staff. If you are unsure how to do this properly, or need advice or assistance, reach out ahead of your booking and NRCG staff will do their best to assist you.
- It is the Hirer’s responsibility to know the firing temperatures of their clay and glazes, and to confirm these details along with their firing profile with the facility ahead of time. In some cases, we may not be able to accommodate your preferred profile, or we will recommend seeking advice from Woodrow Kilns as to the best firing profile to fit your work.
- NRCG staff will fire the kiln to your requested firing profile. If you are unsure what firing profile to apply to your work, we can contact Woodrow Kilns ahead of time for their advice. Please allow at least 5 business days for a response.
- Please note that Woodrow Kilns are typically more efficient than other kiln brands and your work may fire differently in our kilns than others you are accustomed to. Again, we encourage you to let us consult Woodrow regarding your clay and glaze and desired firing profile, ahead of time.
- All work must be free from glaze on the base. Any works with glaze on the base will not be included in the firing. Please check your pieces and remove any glaze from bases before stacking the kiln.
- Damage to kiln shelves from glaze melting, incorrect clay or glaze will incur a damage fee.
- NRCG reserves the right to cancel a booking if the kiln is not fully loaded.
- NRCG reserves the right to delay or postpone a booking for operational reasons.
- Once payment has been made and your booking confirmed, no refunds are available. In the event of a booking cancellation more than 48 hours in advance a credit will be offered which may be redeemed within 12 months. No further credits will be offered if a second cancellation is made.
