Please join us on Saturday 1 July from 2-4pm to celebrate the opening of the Commemorative Flood Recovery Project Community Art Exhibition, and see the amazing creative work made by local communities.

As part of the ongoing flood recovery efforts across our region, the NSW Government has provided funding to Ballina Shire Council to support Commemorative Flood Recovery projects until June 2023. The Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG) & Ignite Studios has used this funding to work with a range of artists to deliver free workshops in the community at Wardell Public School, Empire Vale Public School, Wardell Community Village – with the Cabbage Tree Island community, Wardell Core, and at Ignite Studios.

Participants worked with a wide variety of media including ceramics, sculpture, weaving, screen printing, photography, painting, and drawing and this exhibition showcases the work made at the workshops.

Dates: Exhibition runs from Friday 30 June to Sunday 9 July | Opening: Saturday 1 July, 2 – 4pm | All welcome

Where: Ignite Studios 60 Crane Street, Ballina

Exhibition Opening Hours: Wed - Fri 10am - 2pm | Weekends 10am - 1pm
