Meet the Artist with Laila Page
Where: Northern Rivers Community Gallery, 44 Cherry Street Ballina
Date: Fri 24 April 2026
Time: 2 - 2.30pm
Age: Open to all
Cost: Free to attend, no regustrations required.
Meet exhibiting artist Laila Page for an informal tour of her exhibition How Water Flows. In her practice Page employs an exceedingly slow, intricate style of mark-making, which generates a deep meditative state of mind. Hear her reflect on the unique nature of this method, and the insights that emerge through the slow creation of each piece or art.
This event is free to attend, and no registrations are necessary.
Laila Page is a watercolour artist based in the Northern Rivers, where she has been painting for the past 15 years. A graduate of Farnham College of Art and Design (2001), Page's practice is both meditation and meaning-making—a way of processing life's challenges through the act of painting and deep engagement with the natural environment. Her works function as visual meditations and instruments of healing, where repetitive marks create a contemplative space to be present with nature and the unfolding experience of life.
Laila Page’s exhibition How Water Flows is on display at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery from 5 March to 26 April 2026.
